Deba to Markina-Xemein

I cannot tell a lie.  After two exhausting days of hiking, I decided to skip this leg and take a cab to Markina.  I still have not been able to get a solid night’s sleep, which isn’t helping.  So, being 65 years old, I know my limits.  I enjoyed a relaxing day around Markina and took a long nap in the afternoon.  I woke up refreshed and ready to walk to town for some dinner.  And I met this fine young lady!

First cat I’ve seen since I got here!  And she’s a beautiful calico, like my dear sweet Clara!  She was friendly and sweet and didn’t care that I don’t speak Spanish.
